Rods of compressors are operated in the conditions of continuous production, sometimes in aggressive environments, therefore the working surfaces of the rods are nitrided or with the use of coatings.
Often there are such malfunctions as local wear of the surface of the rod, chromic coating delamination, scuffs in contact with foreign objects. The most reliable way to eliminate the defects described is the complete removal of the coating and the application of a new cermet coating of tungsten carbide by the method of high-speed flame spraying.
High-speed flame spraying of tungsten carbide allows to provide a dense non-porous coating on the surface of the product with an adhesion of more than 80 MPa, a hardness of 1200 HV and more. These parameters are far superior to both nitriding and galvanic chrome plating, which makes it possible to significantly increase the wear resistance of the working surfaces of the rods. The multilayer lamellar structure of the cermet coating can significantly reduce the risk of damage compared to XTO and chrome plating.
We are engaged not only in repair, but also in the manufacture of compressor rods, including imported ones. Rods are made from forgings, they are guaranteed.
One of the first stocks of our production was supplied by us to the Omskii NPZ AO in 2012. A pair of 5G600 compressor rods were made of forgings and put into trial operation. 3 years have passed. In March 2015, a review was received confirming that there is no wear after 20 thousand hours of operation. Two pairs of rods delivered to the same plant in 2014 did not disappoint. The customer sent a letter of thanks to us.
